Pizzaria is a fun spot to go with friends. I received a gift card from my team at work and treated a friend to dinner.

The crust is excellent, the wine selection is wonderful. The restaurant is always joyful and bustling.

However, even though I made my reservation in advance, I didn t receive a notification that it was a special guest chef takeover that evening. Our waiter twice said, It s your choice to join us, which I thought was strange wording to say to a guest already in the restaurant.

It wasn t the takeover that was the issue he s a well-respected chef but the limited menu and lack of communication beforehand to those with reservations who are not also on their newsletter.

None of the pizzas offered had a marinara sauce. Even when I was craving a simple margharita pie, they said they would not accommodate it. There was only one dessert option, which was a sweetened pizza. Too much bread for me for one evening, so we passed on that. We were able to get the tomato salad that was delicious to break up the bread train.

Previous times I ve eaten here, I ve really enjoyed the food and atmosphere.

Update: My boyfriend and I enjoyed lunch here, his first time! A good experience, fresh pizza as always, and attentive staff.
