My 13 year old son walked dogs around our neighbor...
My 13 year old son walked dogs around our neighborhood to earn money for the Nixon surf watch. He bought the cheaper of the surf watches for a little over $100.00. Not even 30 days after buying the watch the silicone around the pin ripped off. Nixon wouldn't give his money back they only gave store credit and that particular watch is no longer being made and because there were no other surf watches at the price point he paid, his only option was to come up with $200.00 more to buy the ultratide and they only gave him that credit for 30 days. Luckily he was able to get another dog sitting job in that time and was able to earn the remaining $200.00 on top of the $100 in store credit to buy the ultratide. 3 months later and the $300.00 ultratide surf watch is broken. The same issue occurred, the silicone ripped from the pin that holds it together. I am disgusted that this company charges this amount of money for watches that continue to rip and brake apart. My daughter has had her target watch for over a year for $15.00 with absolutely NO issues. And the fact that we can't even get money back only store credit after the issues we've had is absolutely ridiculous and disgusting. Good teaching moment for my 13 year. The name doesn't make it better and clearly the price doesn't either.
