The hotel itself is lovely and the female staff I've interacted with have been great. However the man at reception was incredibly rude, condescending, and dismissive of us and our concerns. He ruined our entire stay for us. Also, the walk way across the highway (owned by the same company, apparently) closes after midnight, though they do not inform you of this, so you are forced to use the hotels shuttle bus which is very small and expensive. If you are coming here to see Amsterdam and intend to stay out and enjoy the evening or nightlife, just pay the extra cost for a hotel in the city because you pay for it anyway in transport.
