We've been shopping for a lease for a while now, comparing different cars, offers etc. I own Hyundai and I wanted to stay with Hyundai, I would have been a customer for a long long time. I've been working with another dealership, while getting often phone calls from a seals person from this one. After a day or two of going back and forth, the other dealership gave us a deal that we couldn't refuse. We got $2** monthly payment for 24 months, with a large down payment for 15k miles a year. After we agreed to come and pick up the car and sign the lease, they called us and said that the manager "made a mistake " he meant to give us 12k mileage. We told them it's not going to happen and we are not going to lease the car. At the same time we got a phone call from this dealership and I explained the XY person what happened. I told XY that I will be there and lease this car if they give us this deal I mentioned previously. XY called me within 30 min and told me that they will give us this deal. I confirmed and re-confirmed that we have the same deal and told her not to play games with me, I am not going to come there and they'll change anything. I told XY that I will not lease this car if anything changes and to please guarantee that we will get what we agreed upon. XY confirmed and even sent me an email with details. We leave work earlier, drive in the traffic for over an hour and a half to get there. They try to sell us a used car although I specifically asked for a new car. We agree it's going to be a new car. I request that they do my credit score to make sure they don't change a price later on. XY says they'll do it, but keeps avoiding it. After over an hour, of course, manager comes out to say " I made a mistake and gave you price based on 12k mileage not 15 k mileage ". You've got to be kidding me! How stupid do the think their clients are! You do everything to get people in there, people who are serious buyers, just to change something last minute in hope its going to work out. I specifically asked that nothing would changed and was guaranteed that would be the case. There was no mistake! It's a trap that probably worked for too many times! What happened with ethics in this business. We walked on of this dealership disappointed. All we wanted was to be treated with honesty and dignity, but that was not the case.
