Was there once in 2013. Stayed in there for almost two months. It was horrible. The WORST two months of my entire life, literally. The food is so bad, the portions was basically starving portions. If you had to compare, that's basically prison food. There were frequent lockdowns, I was so depressed because I was deaf and had nobody else to talk to, the stuff was very physical and rude with me, force fed me meds. It's literally prison. They also refused to provide interpreters so when the doctor came in she thought I was mentally incompetent just because I couldn't speak. The men's restrooms? Hell no. There's feces and piss everywhere, it stunk in there. I bathed from the sink because the shower was too filthy. People there didn't bathe at all. I didn't felt safe in there because most of the patients are so psychostic, they start fighting with ANYONE for no apparent reason. Ive seen one man ran up to the other side of the room and went medieveal on this guy just because he sneezed. I was in constant fear because my life and safety was in danger, I couldn't hear if someone was coming up behind me. I kept pleading the doctor to transfer me to a different and safer unit for my disability, but she refused. They violate patients rights all the damn time. This place WILL make you feel even more suicidal and depressed than when you went in. If you're looking for a place to get help with your depression, suicidal thoughts or any mental ailments, DO not come here. You will leave in much worser condition than you came in. DO NOT come here. I wouldn't wish this place on my worst enemy.
