The salesperson from Vivint told us that they could do a takeover of our existing equipment in our house. He offered some extra equipment we did not have like an outdoor camera, hard drive for the videos and smoke detector. He told us if we do not like the service after the 3-day trial that we could cancel at any time, we would just keep paying off the equipment. Well a week after the technicians installed the security system the panel failed. 3 times total in a month where it could not detect the sensors in the house. After every failure it would take a week for the technician to come to the house. That means 3 weeks of an unprotected house. Finally got fed up and tried to cancel service. But the rep told us we must pay the full amount off in full and not in installments which was over a $1500. Plus, the equipment is rigged up where other security companies cannot take it over. So, we are stuck with expensive used decorations. A month later they still billed me! After jumping through hoops to cancel. Be sure to go with a company with at least a month trial period.
