Unfortunately, I just got kicked out of the Turner...

Unfortunately, I just got kicked out of the Turner Contemporary because I came barefoot. Questioning the staff about a reason for not being allowed to visit art with bare feet, they came up with an actual 'shoe policy'. That's not what I call an artistic spirit. Staff was understanding, but determined to have me leave nonetheless. Disappointed. Besides. I am a regular in several museums in both the UK and germany, including The National Gallery, Tate Britain and Tate Modern, Victoria and Albert and British Museum and none of these had any problems with barefoot visitors, nor did any german museum I've been in by now.
Wonder what's so dangerous about naked feet and if they'd keep a barefoot Yoko Ono from visiting too.
