I have been in the service end of the business for over 30 + years. I have dealt with Dave Sinclair Sr. many times over the years and always received great service and customer care. I came to the body shop a week ago for an objective estimate on my 15 malibu, that was side swiped on the highway. The receptionist is great but the blonde who runs this department is horrible on customer service. I was rudely run off because i didnt have an insurance company.
So, I came back today because of daylight savings time on Monday i missed my appointment. The receptionist is great and rescheduled it for 3/12 at 9. I got here at 9 05 and was left sitting in the waiting room after seeing and speaking to the adjustor from yesterday till 10 am. Than the same blonde comes out and tells me they aren't a preferred company for American Family. I understand, i would still like an estimate, and the entire time she had no intentions of writing the estimate. So, she proceeds to call the adjustor and returns with a service employee. I guess she needed a witness, and literally speaks to me like i am a child. Hands me a a copy of the body shop estimate that wss written by an individual company and proceeds to explain, that maybe i didnt get this or didn't understand the estimate that was written. I said yes i did, but i would still like the dealer body shop to write an estimate for my car. She says I can,and proceeds to tell me what she will do is make me a copy of the estimate written by the other private body shop and here is ur estimate. Once again treating me like a child. I had fully intended to have my car repaired at the dealer with Factory parts.
I HAVE NEVER HAD SUCH RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND FOUND IT SO DIFFICULT TO GET AN ESTIMATE WRITTEN BY THE DEALER. I FULLY UNDERSTAND THE OTHER ESTIMATE IS A GUIDE THEY HAVE TO FOLLOW, BECAUSE THEY ARE AN AMERICAN FAMILY PREFERRED BODY SHOP. ALL I ASKED FOR WAS AN OBJECTIVE ESTIMATE, BECAUSE THEY ARE GM FACTORY EXPERT TECHS TO LOOK AND AT MY VEHICLE IN CASE SOMETHING WAS MISSED. LIKE I SAID I WAS NEVER SO RUDELY TREATED AND SPOKEN DOWN TO IN MY 30+ YEARS IN THIS BUSINESS. I, ALSO, NEVER FOUND IT SO DIFFICULT TO RECEIVE AN ESTIMATE. IT SEEMS LIKE IF THE BODY SHOP IS SO POORLY OPERATED THE SERVICE AND THE SALES DEPARTMENTS MUST BE THE SAME!!
I GAVE IT A 1 STAR, ONLY BECAUSE THEY WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO GIVE IT A ZERO...WHICH IS WHAT THEY TRULY DESERVE!!
WHERE ARE THE DAYS OF DAVE SINCLAIR SR, WHERE DIGINITY AND RESPECT WERE GIVEN AND RECEIVED AS A CUSTOMER AND AS A BUSINESS!!
AT THIS DEALERSHIP..LONG GONE. I WOULD STEER CLEAR OF THIS DEALERSHIP!!!
