WARNING! I used their CC service until i could compare rates when I first purchased my business. They were the company the previous owners used and therefore the most seamless way to continue credit card processing until I had time to look at other companies. I found a better company 30 days later and thought I canceled the account. I noticed a ACH Transfer on my bank statement for $47.00 for a lease. so I ran down the source ,not easily , to Transtech merchant group. Found out it was for my CC Processing machine. I decided I could buy a machine for less than $200 so I tried to cancel the lease. Evidently I was under a 4 year contract and could not cancel without a very steep penalty. So I did some research and read horror story after horror story about this company and the same issue. How the sent debt collectors and lawyers to collect for people who changed bank accounts to stop the payment. I decided it wasn't worth the hassle and would just wait and terminate in 4 years. Well here it is almost four years later and I notice 2 separate ACH transfer from my bank account on the same day for the same thing. the first was from my current Credit card processor. I had to do some real digging to find out what the other transfer was for. Had they not hit on the same day I don't think I would have ever noticed. Evidently for the last 3.5 years they have kept my processing account active and billed me $105 month for an unused account as well. So I get fired up to cancel this account again after I thought it was canceled 3.5 years ago. same thing steep early termination penalty 4 year contract as well tied to the processing machine. Why did I never see this? Good question. They don't send out statements. its 100% online. so if you don't notice the ACH transfer on your bank statement. there is no other way. not even an annual report. So I call the company to cancel once and for all. It cant be done online (which is the only way you can see your statement) or by phone. It must be done in writing or by fax. It must be mailed to a specific place not listed on there website. It must have very specific information on the letter. I assume if you dont complete these steps correctly the continue to bill you. If you want to cancel on the anniversary date to avoid early termination you must have it submitted 3 months early and not more than one month before anniversary date. If you fail any of these steps they will renew your contract for another 4 years. You also will need to make contact with the company the get there equipment from to arrange a return or I assume same penalties. Will the customer service rep explained all of these steps to me I could not help but think Wow this is one amazing scam. I figure Im to blame for signing the contract. Although I think the terms unfair not the first hard lesson Ive learned in my life or business. But this is the hardest one to get away from. I would not suggest anyone use this company. I would not even talk to this company for fear of entering into a verbal contract that required the loss of an arm to get out of.
