Visiting from out-of-state, I wanted to give my nephew and his family a free stay at this waterpark/hotel as a present. It was a spur of the moment thing and I made the reservation morning of July 1st for a 1 night stay for the same date. Did it online and it was around $300.00 for a standard 2-queen-bed room. It was actually expensive because later that day their website showed $159.00 rate for the same room which was not there when I made the reservation.

Since I am not going to be physically with them the hotel required credit card authorization, credit card images (front and back), and my driver's license as an ID which i dutifully provided. I even spoke to their manager Michelle W.

Late that night (11pm) my husband came home after making sure they were fine and he told me that my sister-in-law had to pay for the hotel stay, the present I gave them. How embarassing!!!! Plus all that paperwork for nothing. I called the manager-on-duty and he said he can't help me and to wait for Michelle the next day.

The funny thing is I called the hotel at 4 pm to check if the I can get the cheaper rate (which by the way I did not get) and at which time I gave them the reservation number and nobody mentioned that there was a problem with the reservation. WHAT A MESS!!!!!!

Well, this was the first time and will probably be the last because if the initial point of contact (the reservation period) was already a mess, how can someone expect anything different while at the hotel?

Disclosure: I did not go in the hotel but my children did and they said that the waterpark was small relative to the Wisconsin water parks that we frequent.
