I would recommend this hotel to everyone. If you want first class customer service, go to the Doubletree Hilton in Bucharest.

The hotel was clean and the room was well stocked with toiletries. The food that was available in the bistro (downstairs in the evening) and in the restaurant (upstairs for breakfast) was delicious. I particularly recommend the prawn risotto for dinner and the chocolate filled croissants and freshly squeezed orange juice for breakfast. I think there is a gym and a formal restaurant, but we did not have time to make use of either facility.

The staff were wonderful. The staff at the Doubletree Hilton Bucharest are the best hotel staff that I have ever had the pleasure to meet. The receptionists checked us in and out quickly and smoothly and they had great local knowledge. They knew how long taxis would take, gave us a map of the city and recommended places to visit. Even though I can only speak a few words of Romanian, I was able to communicate well because all of the staff who I spoke to could speak English to a high standard. I was very silly and I left my keys in the safe on the morning that I set off to return home. I rang the hotel and a member of staff drove to the airport and gave me my keys. The staff really went above and beyond. Thank you for your help. Thank you to the receptionists, the man who brought my keys to the airport, the red haired bar lady, the hotel manager, the hotel porter, the breakfast staff and the cleaners.
