Angus Ogilvie Review of Palazzo Versace
We visited for cocktails and dinner. The cocktails...
We visited for cocktails and dinner. The cocktails were superb but we couldn't understand why there were not complimentary snacks. They seem to be missing a trick here. There is bar food and we ordered the baked camembert with toast which was delicious, although with only five tiny pieces of bread it meant reordering additional toast. Our waitress kindly pointed out that this would cost $5 more which we thought was a bit on the nose.
The buffet at Il Barocco had an extensive array of fresh seafood accompanied by meat and poultry dishes. The wine list was excellent. Come with a big appetite though. At $99 per guest, this buffet must be one of the most expensive in town.
All in all, a beautiful Hotel although showing its age now and probably in need to renovation.
