My wife and I appreciate a good wood fired pizza and had a very enjoyable lunch experience. We started off with an arancino made with saffron rissoto which was a perfect starter.

That was followed by a Margherita which is a must for us, as it is the bar by which we judge all pizzerias. Little did we know this come with a drink and side salad as part of their lunch special. We also ordered up an Al Funghi for good measure. The San Marzano tomatoes were spot on and rich with flavour. The hen of the woods mushrooms were full of flavour on the Al Funghi and the soft roasted scallions were deliciously sweet and a brilliant addition. Of course the key to any good pizza is the crust on which it is topped and Pizzeria Locale does a great job here. The dough has some bite to it, and is savoury and slightly sour from a ferment. Highly recommended!
