A great place to visit and something you can see from space - check out Google maps! We took the VIP tour and went down to the dish ... close enough to touch it. The regular tour included a short movie and 5 min. talk plus as much time as we wanted on the observation deck (see photo). There is a snack bar on the deck. There is a museum with space artifacts and demonstrations ... nice for young and old. FOREWARNED: there is quite a hill from the parking lot to the visitors center. You can ask for a pick up; if you have any doubts, I'd advise calling for a pick up. We drove there and the roads were well marked but we did get "disoriented" getting back ... GPS was unavailable.
It was well worth it!
