For a weekend place near a major city, Stevens Pass Ski Area is remarkable. It offers such a variety of terrain, that you can be challenged no matter what is your skill level. I heard one of the PSIA-NW tech team members (and examiner) say it was one of their favorite places to hold clinics and exams. Although they had me, as dberkeygroup, get their Kehr Chair display printed (color images on plexi-glass) as well as other banners and posters, plus brochures for the ski school, I have been teaching skiing there for many years with an independent, concession ski school, Olympic Ski School. And although I know the mountain, there's always a new challenge. Stevens gets drier snow and more snow than other locations, plus their new Jupiter high speed quad on the back side really eats up the line, getting you more vertical. Worth going and exploring.
