I run a surf camp in the summer and use Nixon "Low Down ll" watches as they show the tide. The watches are fine until they need a battery or repair. Instead of Fed Ex shipment to Nixon as one frustrated reviewer wrote about, I drive mine to the Encinitas headquarters in hope that this will speed repair/batter replacement. No it hasn't.
I have three of these watches and they always seem to have issues. My current all-back model is still stuck on Standard Time and will not allow itself to be reset to Daylight Savings Time. I have taken it to surf shops and they agree it needs repair. Although the watch is not old, I hate to take it in as it will be "forever" before I get it back.
I have tried to support this local business but will probably just go back to Rip Curl or Freestyle. Amazingly, to get a battery replacement for a Freestyle watch, I had to send it to New York but still had in back in 10 days... great customer service. With Nixon, you will wait.
