I made an appt. for a simple scheduled service 10 days prior to coming to the dealership. At that time, I was told the service appt. would take 3 hours and then I should be on my way. My commute to the dealership was/is 1.5 hours, one way, as Reno is the closest service center to my home. Was promised a loaner and would be called once the car work was completed. I explained my situation to the scheduler.
After arrival, I was informed they could not get to my car that day. No call, no option to reschedule when the car could be done in a timely manner but being left with the burden of having to make another 3hour round trip the following week to pick up my car.
I have had to re-organize my week in the middle of moving to our new home ~ all the packing and meetings with service people, to take over three hours out of one day will be a tremendous inconvenience!!
There should have been a courtesy call made to advise me of the situation.
I was told by the service rep. that they have been short handed for some time.
Then why schedule people in such a careless manner.
This is not what I expected from an upscale dealership that seems to exude quality service ~ rather a disappointment.
