On June 22, 2020 I took my truck into the Airdrie dodge service department because the air conditioning had started to blow hot air. I was told there would be $160 diagnostic fee which I okayed. When it came time to pay this fee it turned out to be $190.

After the diagnostics were done I was told the fix would cost me around $1050, I picked the vehicle up that day and paid $190.34 I took it to a separate mechanic for a second opinion and was told they did not have the specific machine to work on my AC. I picked the vehicle up without them doing any work.
I took my truck back to Airdrie dodge and had them do the repair. The repairs were completed and I picked up my vehicle on June 24, 2020 and paid $872.22 the total cost for repairs was $1062.56

On July 7, 2020 the AC started to blow hot air again and I took the vehicle back to Airdrie dodge. They told me they would look at the work they had done previously but if they had to look past that they would charge me the $160 again. On July 8, 2020 the service department looked at the truck again and told me That it was something new so I would have to pay the $160 again for them to find the issue which was discussed with the manager and later waived.

After I was told it was a new issue but was making the AC act the same as it was before the initial repair, I was quoted another $2300 plus tax for repairs.

Had the diagnostics been done properly, I should have been given a full list of repairs before the initial repair was started. had I known this would cost me $3300 + I would not have done the initial repair. I was lead to believe it was the MAIN and only issue with the system.

I asked to speak to the manager. The assistant manager Dave Claughton came out to talk to me. It was a very heated discussion where he positioned himself less than 1 foot from my face and was using a high volume to explain to me in a very demeaning manner how It is what it is and I would have to deal with it. I stepped back and said that I wanted to speak with his manager. The service manager came out and I explained my concerns about how I would not have begun the repairs if I knew I was going to have to pay more than double what I paid for the initial repair, less than 2 weeks later. I was told he was sure they made no errors when they looked at it the first time and I would have to pay for the repairs but that he would see what he could do and get back to me. I received a phone call a few hours later from one of the front desk workers and was told they could do the repair for $1899 all in.

I was not pleased with this as it still seemed ridiculous, and that I just wanted my money back for the first repair they did, which did not last and obviously did not fix the issue, and I would move on. This was explained to me as not possible.

Go anywhere else.
