First of all the arena for concerts, as long as there are chairs out, is way too crowded for chairs. We paid $500 per ticket to see a legendary band and we were stuffed and so close to each other that we couldn't even enjoy ourselves having to put our hands directly to our sides and only being able to use a couple inches in front and behind us as long as we folded the chair up. The chairs were made out of metal and are very small and placed right against each other. It was honestly so uncomfortable to be constantly either rubbing up against my neighbor or really trying not to. Now I'm a female I'm 5 foot 3 and 140 lb so it's not like I was asking for very much room . But especially considering we paid such an enormous amount to be able to see such a legendary band I would think they would at least give you a good space. Now I've been to a lot of concerts and I realize I'm a little on the short side but for that kind of price for a ticket you would think at least you could see the band especially if you were only 10 rows down like you can at many other venues in the Phoenix area.. because they do things like put the seats at an incline or have the stage up high. I was very very disappointed in this venue and also the $20 vodka mixer drink I had..20 freaking dollars? Wow. Definitely sticking to better venues. Oh, let me also mention the $20 parking that we were forced to pay because it was downtown and there's no parking in the area especially at night. Not worth it even to see your favorite band...especially not your favorite because you can't dance or hardly move, see the band even close up after hundreds of dollars paid or have yourself a parking spot and drink without having to rearrange your budget. Honestly, Ak-Chin absolutely blows this venue out of the water.
