Brought my car in for a recall replacement. Completely covered, should be $0 charge.
When my car was done, the mechanic who I spoke to tried to up-sell me harder then I've ever been before. Ridiculous things, the classic scams, like brake fluid was brown and burnt, timing belt worn out, power steering flush, the list went on and on. Then he gives me a quote for that work.

I was so appalled at the audacity of this mechanic. Not only because I recognized some of what he had said as the classic scams, but because I had brought it to a great, trusted mechanic five days prior. I had brought it in for a thorough inspection, as well as replacement of the timing belt, which somehow got Worn out in five days? All else about the vehicle was deemed fine by my mechanic.

Seriously, don't get anything but necessary recall related, covered service done here, or they will try to scam you.
