I booked a prepaid wine and cheese tasting for my husband and I. This was marketed as set on their deck, suggesting a premium location. As we were being led by a staff member to our table, the Hospitality Manager physically blocked our entry and informed us that she was having trouble moving people on. We weren t exactly happy about this but not making a big deal of it, we were then given a complimentary glass of sparkling, which was nice but didn t make up for what happened next. We were then unceremoniously plonked under a tree in the garden with no view of the beautiful winery - not what we prepaid for. After that, I requested to be moved back to the deck when a table became available, the Hospitality Manager was conspicuously unhappy with this request. Although granted, we received very curt service from her after that and small, reasonable asks (like a spittoon) was ignored. It felt like her problem was made to be our problem, next time perhaps just ask the overstayers. The other staff were great.
