Almost 70 years of providing an amazing summer camping experience - and they have really got things dialed in.

The location is wonderful (can get hot during the day and cool at night) and the staff from the Director and Commissioners through all the instructors and counselors are generally excellent.

The youth get loads of opportunity to do rank advancement, or extra badges - but also to learn and consolidate some good scout skills.

The adults get a chance to have a lower effort, lower key activity to support given all the staff driving things.

GREAT Sierra BSA Summer Camp!

GREAT Sierra BSA Summer Camp!
Huge Mess Hall with unending big steel pitchers of 'bug juice', a cold river dammed to swim in after a Swim Test, a sawmill sawdust pile "off limits", lots of tree shaded simple small open cabins for all us Boy Scouts from Willow Glen's famous Troop 101- 201 from St. Francis Episcopal Church basement classroom, with the best biggest group of volunteer Dad's for merit badge classes and outing mentoring, back in the 1950s and 1960s, plus Always a Great volunteer MD like Dr. Bill Weller on duty, and RN nurse! Great times, fond memories. Always a hot dusty road hike over the ridge to the Clavey! Lots of lifetime friendships made here. Thanks so much!

Many fond memories as a kid here in cub scouts and boy scouts... however I don't think it was "historic" back then. Remember when I burned my hand on the stove pipe at one of the many snow trips we took here. Good times for sure.
