We had an amazing time at the hotel and would like to come back again.
There was a little disappointing details:
Toilet in the lobby is not cleaned well - stinks pretty bad, You can smell it at the souvenir store and at the front desk
Another thing - little cafe in the main lobby is understaffed, person leaves for "15 minutes" and You have to wait for the breakfast around 40 minutes.
Those little things are disappointing but still will not turn me away from the place.
Really bad thing happened in Drift Wood cafe or restaurant or what ever it is called.
We have two daughters 9 and 11 years old and were having a dinner all together on November 20th - Me my wife and kids. While waiting for the food kids went out and had some time outside - around the fireplace.
After 10 minutes they came back inside. On their way back they were "running'. Nothing crazy - no one of visitors of the restaurant noticed that.
I didn't see that, and I had been watching them. I might miss it, but if that happened - there was nothing crazy.
So minute after kids got to the table this gentleman came to us and told us that if he sees our kids running again - he'll ask us to leave. The way it was said was very rude, he was not talking to us - we were yelled at, he didn't introduce himself, just turned around and left.
I already got a bad taste in my mouth and did want to stay there any more, but after talking to my wife we've decided to stay and wait for our food. I asked our waiter person - who is that gentleman, and he said - that is the manager.
When I got the check I gave my CC to the waiter and asked him that I wanted to talk to the manager.
When he came he was acting as he was PERFECT and was not there to service us, We were there to service him. I told him that he made us feel very unwelcome and that was rude what he said. We had never had anyone making any comment about our kids before. Our kids always behave well on public. And even if they did somethig wrong there was more polite way to let us know. I wanted him to apologize at least.
But he kept talking down to us and told us that he does not care if we file the complaint with the place directory. His name was Yoonki Na.
I am at customer service myself and know what means - customer oriented management. Yoonki Na can not be called customer oriented.
There was no attempt from him to satisfy us at all. This is not the way to treat your customers!!!
Waiter Russel was great and got his tips regardless.
I think Mr. Yoonki Na haven't spent enough time in waiters shoes and can't manage place like that.
Waiting for management to contact me....
Still consider this resort as a place for our next family vacation.....
