On 2/24/20 I had an appointment with Dr. Levitz at this facility. This was my first time at the location so i had to do the neccessary entry paper work. I was told to bring my referral letter as well as the authorization code. With all the requirements in hand the medical assistant doing my intake told me that i was missing the authorization. She couldnt get the required document with the code i produced so she told me to call my referring doctors office and ask them to fax over the info. I called and had the office staff there try 4 times to fax it over to two different numbers given by the assistant. After that failed the option they gave me was to travel to my physicians office procure the document and then come back to Dr. Levitz practice. Already overwhelemed and upset i asked why was it my job as the patient to travel back and forth. I asked "Shouldnt the assistants be able to pull off of the website the document with the code given?" I was told that isnt their job and that calling other physicians were also not part of their responsibilities. Overall i was not ASSISTED in the least. I spent over an hour on the phone as the middle man relaying what the "assistants" required. Only to not be seen and treated at a PODIATRISTS office, but be told to travel back and forth when obviously its adverse to my UNDIAGNOSED condition. Please hire or train staff to be much more proficient at customer service. Its the most important skill of the job!
