I have a lease car where it does not cost me monies, but after the service I have just had I am compelled to write a review:
Dropped car for service at 8am & said can I have it back by 5pm and at 4pm no one had rang me, so I chase to see if the car would be ready for 5pm, but was told I needed 4 new tyres and a replacement cam belt and the car would not be ready for today and he stated he would not release the car to drive as the tyres are not road worthy because of tyre depth. I looked at the service video and all the tyres were not below the legal depth of 1.6mm.
I said I needed a car for tomorrow to drive to London and why did he not let me know it would not be ready for today, but he could not help. I phone the lease company and they stated they normally need 2 hrs notice to organise a hire car, but I was lucky to get a car to get to work the next day. I was told they were working on the cam belt and it would be ready in the morning. Next day I went back to the garage at 3.30pm to pick up the car but it was not ready as they were still working on the cam belt and was informed they have not replaced the tyres. Marshall blamed the lease company for the delays to approve the works, but Marshall never phoned me to let me know what was happening, which I complained about, but all the said was sorry and there was nothing he could do, I replied you need to investigate why it went wrong and make sure it does not happened again to another customer, but there attitude was very poor and they were not listening.
I have spoken to the lease company to discuss why there were delays on approving works and they went through the log of what happened, the lease company did approve the Marshall to change the Tyres with ATS and the cam belt change was a warranty change. I picked the car up and went straight around to ATS to get the tyres replaced, but had none in stock. I have since had my tyres changed and the rear shock absorbers are leaking and need replacing, that is why my tyres have uneven wear. So Marshall garage have very poor customer service, with poor communication, condescending approach to customers and poor service, as they did not notice the uneven tyre wear due to leaking shock absorber.
