Pamala Brooks Review of caesar's palace

We stayed at the Caesar's Palace, Nobu hotel. The only reason cesar's is getting a 3 is because the nobu room was nice and the staff was courteous. The only gripe I had with nobu in particular was that I wasn't aware of there being a $200 deposit at the time of check-in. This was on top of the resort fees, taxes, and the previously paid reservation fees that I knew about. I didn't care for that part of my check-in process, as my room was booked in advance online. I paid it, but, a little heads up would have been nice. The concierge stated the fee should have been broken down in my confirmation email. I reread my confirmation email, and all fees were itemized, however, there was no mention of a $200 deposit...not even in the fine print.
Other than that minor unpleasantness, nobu was nice, food was kind of pricey, but, I expected that based on the hotel. Caesar's casino ... I don't have an interest in going back. They weren't too kind to my husband, and that rubbed me the wrong way. There was an unruly guest at one of the tables in which he gambled, and an altercation ensued between that guest and staff. Hubby left the scene for his safety and ended his game play for the evening. The following evening, he was approached by hotel security and confronted with questions of "his involvement" in the altercation! He was not able to leave until security was satisfied with his answers. Not cool. We were paying guests, that tipped our room service, and cleaning staff, and were just looking to relax and have fun.
These events made both of us uncomfortable and we left the Caesar's Palace with a bad taste in our mouths. Nobu was nice, and luckily I won some money on the slot machines. I just am not certain if we'll be booking there again
