This is a beautiful hotel with clean rooms, a friendly staff, and an outdated internet policy.

The price of the room does NOT include internet access. Internet in your room is $10.95 per day. For the price of the room, which is not cheap, you get to sleep in the bed (linens and pillows included), use the shower (soap, shampoo, and towels included), use the toilet (TP included), wash in the sink, watch TV, sit in the chairs or on the sofa, use the coffee maker (coffee and condiments included), use the microwave, use the refrigerator; BUT you don't get to use the internet in your room. It's pretty hard to believe that in this day and time, when all the less expensive hotels provide free internet, the expensive hotels still charge. Internet access is a basic utility, like the water and electricity provided with the room. But internet access is not included at this hotel. Disappointing.

They do provide "free" internet in the lobby. It's passable, but not very fast. I find it strange that they obviously put so much effort into providing a beautiful room with lots of conveniences, and then want me to drag all my stuff downstairs to the lobby for internet access. I've browbeat the shift managers for years, but they don't make policy. Maybe upper management will read this review.

Yes, I could vote with my feet. We come to weekend conventions that are hosted at the adjoining conference center. The convenience of being next door is nice. This hotel would be perfect ... if only.
