If I could give Them 0 stars I would. My experience started over a year ago when I took my car in for wobbling and vibrations along with a clicking in my front tire. I own a 2017 GMC Acadia. Upon initial diagnostics of the car they discovered that my car needed a new CV axle. They ordered the part and told me that I needed to balance my tires as well. But since that wasn t covered under warranty I told them I would take it elsewhere to have that done. When I checked my car in to have the CV axle replaced they ended up not replacing it and told me that there was a bulletin that came up on the vehicle that told them to machine my rotor and clean something out and that stopped the clicking noise. They performed this work without my knowledge and I wasn t told about it until I picked up my car and saw that they did not replace the CV axle. When I took my car there was a vibration that continued sometimes subtle and barely noticeable and other times it was extremely Overbearing causing my steering wheel and seat to vibrate. I took the car to the tire shop where they balanced the tires. I then took the car back to Alaska sales and service as I continued to experience vibrations that we re not normal in a vehicle as new as mine. The car continued to vibrate and sometimes with violently shake on the highway. After the service techs driving the car a few miles they could not duplicate the issue though frustrated I picked up my car for the third time. After driving a vehicle for a while having the same symptoms I would wait for them to get worse and take the car in again. I took the vehicle in for the fourth time just before my warranty was about to expire. They drove the car only a few times in the 12 days it s out there on their lot. I told them I drove the car for work and they did not offer a rental vehicle. I also told them that I did not feel comfortable picking up the car until there was some kind of resolution. Jim Greason the service manager got involved and I told him I was going to take my vehicle to the Chevy dealership to see what they could find. He told me to cancel my appointment because he was going to take care of it . He did not in fact take care of it all he did was drive the car again and claim to not be able to feel the vibrations. When I got my car back we took it to an independent mechanic who told us that there were parts of the front end that appeared to have been taken apart but none of it was on my service records so we were confused. When we addressed this with Alaska sales and service they could not give me an answer. By this time I was now out of warranty and could no longer take it to Chevrolet of South Anchorage without paying out of pocket. Alaska sales and service screwed me on fixing my car. Furthermore GM told them they could not do anything other than drive it. When I asked them to check things like the axle and the bearings they refused saying unless they could feel it while they drove they wouldn t do anything further. Now I am stuck and my only choice is to pay out-of-pocket to have my car fixed. I contacted GM s customer service line where supposedly they are supposed to be advocates for the customer. However they said that the dealership is their eyes and ears so essentially everything they say is gold. I did not have anyone to advocate or help me find resolution. I could understand if this was an issue that happened for the first time. But by the time everything was said and done my car had been in the shop five times with less than 36,000 miles on it. I can t even begin to tell you how upset and defeated I feel. Alaska sales and service has offered me zero options for further resolution. GM will not extend my warranty to cover it going to another dealership. They will not buy the car back. They will not even guarantee that if I can find the issue that they will fix it. They offered me a $100 service voucher that s only good for future repairs not for diagnostics. I feel like I ve been slapped in the face save yourself the pain and agony and buy a different car.
