I like the Wheatsfield coop, but I can't really pin down the reason why. The prices are a bit higher than the Iowa City coop, but they're reasonable for Ames. Their selection of produce is good. Their selection of canned and bagged foods are small, and their selection of frozen foods is tiny, and their alcohol section is a little overpowering but I like them. It's just something about the atmosphere and the behavior of the staff. They're friendly. So I like it.
