Let me start out by saying I really like this venue. I would say closer to 5 stars. Also our server was five star. And the band was also 5 star. I saw Red Zeppelin and they were awesome. So why the 1 star? I helped the band unload after the performance only to find that the valet had left and they said my key was locked up! When I went to the bar area and they were still cleaning up, I got a completely snarky remark from the bartender. "If you are looking for your keys NOW, you don't need to be driving" remark, that lacked any sense of compassion or understanding for the fact that I was now stranded in Woodstock and was going to have to LYFT home and then LYFT BACK to pick up my car. ( 40 minutes each way)

I was not told anything by the valet attendant about the policy and I am mystified as to why they would not leave the keys with the wait or bar staff and then lock the key up last. Lastly, one of the staff showed me a sign outside that says, you have to get your keys before the valet leaves and they are NOT responsible for your car overnight.

Well, a sign is well and good, but who reads that board in the dark on the way into a concert? Perhaps if the valet actually mentioned the policy it would help! Or an announcement at the end of the show would be good.... or having someone walk through the venue and find the owner of the key? No, lets just lock the key up and the customer be damned. I mean, we posted a SIGN!

The outside SIGN is a poor way of getting out of bad service, after the fact. Don't leave people stranded MAD LIFE. Its not cool.

Venue is really nice and the acoustics are really good for a bar/venue and again I liked our server, but the more I think about this, the more of a low moment it has become.
