Very nice hotel with a great view of Edinburgh Castle. The front desk staff were amazingly helpful when we had a baggage mishap, and service in the attached restaurant and bar was also excellent. The rooms are modern and look like they've been fairly recently updated. One small minus is that the bathroom walls are frosted glass, meaning going to the bathroom in the middle of the night risks waking up others in the room. There is a night light mode that helps in that respect, but it does feel like the glass walls are a little form over function.
