My family and I stayed at the Ritz for a weekend in Boston, having stayed in various Ritz's around the world, my expectations were very high, sadly I was let down. When we arrived, we had a lot of trouble with parking, they had two options, either pay a ridiculous amount of money ($200) per night or go to a private company a little ways down the street. Obviously we chose the private company, when we got to the parking lot we were dismayed to find the gate was hanging off its hinges and when we asked the attendant about it he replied that they were getting it fixed later not to worry. In my opinion they shouldn't be open with that kind of safety hazard.

When we arrived at the building the lobby was dirty, small and cramped with a pungent odor, there was a celebrity staying at the hotel so there were hoards of fans outside and the security was doing a very very poor job of containing them, most of them just standing around on the other side of the door instead of by the barricades. The room service food was mediocre at best but was delivered quickly and the concierge was a young girl who was on her cellular phone every time we walked by which is very unprofessional. To top it all off the pool was unlivable for patrons under 16 or something of the sorts so they sent us to the Hyatt hotel across the street which has a small cramped lap pool with only 3 lanes.

Over all this was a bad experience and I will stick to other locations.
