I took my 07 passat in at the end of last year (September I believe) for a transmission service as requested from the place I had purchased it from. The gentleman at the desk seemed nice. While waiting they tell me the cabin filter is bad, I agree to change it so no biggie. Nearly 6 hours later, I'm told your car is ready, here is your bill (which I may add was hundreds of $dollar's$), and a break down of all the repairs needed on your car (which was in the ballpark of $10,000.00) I was completely astounded at the price, but i knew it needed to be done so I paid it. Roughly a week later my dad put my car on the lift to change the motor oil for me and immediately called me out. It appeared my transmission was never serviced. My car came up from Rocky Point, so there was sand all over the underneath. We lowered the car to grab my paperwork from the dealer and the repair order I signed said fluid and filter change, I was charged for a fluid flush/change only (which I failed to catch at the dealer before I left) well, the drainplug nor pan was never touches, still caked with sand. Immediately I took pictures. My dad puts a wrench on the plug and immediately sand and debris fall from the plug. Fluid begins to seep out as black as a neglected diesel trucks motor oil and thick like tar. The smell was absolutely disgusting, the worst burnt oil I've ever witnessed. Again, I snapped some pictures. We immediately make some calls to a personal friend/head licensed and certified mechanic to come by. His first words was, "you got scammed out of money, this car was never touched as far as the transmission goes, and I'll bet my entire shop on that! You need to call BBB and your attorney!" Well, I decided to approach the dealership to make it right, and to let them know the mechanics are screwing customers over. I was completely shocked at the attitude I received from the supervisor who returned my call. I was treated like a "ignorant female". I will admit, they DID refund my money in full.... after a heck of an argument. No formal apology, no nothing. The first option was for me to bring the car back and they will do another fluid change on it. I point blank told them that I do not trust them at this point not to mention I had to take a day off work what shorts my check nearly $150 because I don't have paid leave plus a two-hour drive and Fuel and lunch I don't have that kind of money then to just sit in a dealership for another 6 hours well I get cheated. I do give a dealership credit for refunding my money in full but even though it's been a year I'm still extremely disappointed and how everything was handled and everything that was done and the way I was treated. Now I have an active recall on my car and this is the closest dealership to me but I'm absolutely petrified to take my car to this dealer. I grew up working on cars as well as heavy equipment so I'm not just an ordinary girl and I absolutely despise being talked down to because I am a girl. I just feel my experience needs to be shared
