I'm here now and I'm a bit disappointed. I've stayed here multiple times and this was the most underwhelming stay...maybe it's because I am on the 3rd floor? All suites are not created equal, as I've stayed in nicer rooms in this very hotel. Furniture could use updating and the rooms could be cleaner (my room chair was filthy with hair and crumbs. I refused to sleep without going to the local Harris Teeter to grab wipes and lysol spray). Lamp shades were damaged and the curtain was also not on track (it's the small details). The water gets hot, but the toilet makes a very weird noise after flushing and doesn't complete for about 3 minutes (strange noise). Thermostat only produced air and no heat (called the front desk and she said she would send someone right up and never did). Unfortunately, there's those times where it's not worth the hassle and you make a mental note for the next trip.

The good points: good breakfast with options (proteins, waffles, French toast, oatmeal, almond milk, cereals, etc-my gluten free/strict vegetarian folks may not think it's worth it because its limited in that regard); location is close to everything you need in Alexandria so you could pretty much walk everywhere (I like to visit king street which is a ways, but a pleasant walk with old town scenery); close to restaurants and 2 grocery stores (Harris Teeter and Trader Joes); and a free shuttle to the airport is a plus. Oh, and some rooms have nice terraces with a view.
