Subscription by stealth. Left a very bad bitter taste, misleading and zero customer service, zero stars.

The website is difficult to negotiate on a phone due to banners. Most items are out of stock and hard to pick items to gain free delivery total. I was buying a gift and not interested in regular deliveries and tried to make a quick purchase. When scrolling down the subscribe (weekly!!!) order has defaulted in and you can t see it; looks like add to cart.

No order acknowledgement received to even hint at signing up for a weekly subscription of a product you haven't even tried. You have to read reviews on Fb to then send a correctly headed email to find out that:
1. Creating an account is optional at point of ordering.
2. Creating an account is mandatory if you want to see what you have been charged/what the order status is and how often you will be charged (for items not even despatched).
3. When you create an account to cancel the subscription it seems you already have an account and your bank has been debited with the initial order and the weekly repeat order(s).
4. You can't cancel any orders, even when not yet despatched.
5. No cooling off period - or option to reclaim your money back within 14 days.
6. This dreadful company has all your details.

I didn't receive an initial order or email to indicate I had picked the reduced item/subscription price. This would have highlighted the issue. I gave up and ordered elsewhere for the gift and boy have I regretted ever logging into this site.

I then watched Fb and posts from unhappy customers mentioning they felt scammed, let down, confused, angry and when I added a post it was deleted along with the other posts. I have screenshots.

It is clear from a quick look at Google and Trust Pilot reviews that I'm not alone.

A disgusting way to operate and treat hard working people. What a waste of time for us, Trading Standards and bank officials who are all now involved - at a time where resources and time are precious.

A week on, no initial order but bank debited twice without authorisation.
