Food fine, but such a long wait for it. Waited about 45 minutes for a jacket potato. Coffee was a long wait too. Need to tell customers if the wait is going to be do long.

Bright and cheerful decor. Friendly service. Family friendly. The menu is fairly standard fare but the food is well prepared and nicely presented. Generous portion sizes.

It's OK nice and fresh food. One lady talks to you like u don't understand though.

Home made soup is really home made soup you could just about stand your spoon in it yummy

Nice little coffee shop serving good food. I personally find it slightly on the expensive side but that's a personal opinion and it shouldn't put anybody off going. I will go again.

We had a BLT and fries here. Both were ok. The BLT a little carelessly presented and tasteless. The bread roll had almost no consistency.
The coffee was good. The service can not be faulted. Both servers were very friendly.

Went to stromness during Covid so the bistro was closed and everything else in the local area was too. Unfortunately I think that meant we missed out on the chowder. The food was alright but the prices were absolutely outrageous. 5 of us More

Just the place in a cold, wintry day... warm and bright. Surprisingly varied menu plus tasty cakes do try the Orkney Cake. Lentil soup well done and bread fresh and tasty. Highly recommended.

This cafe was on my 'must do' list. I'm not disappointed. I chose the creamy smoked seafood chowder with toasted sourdough bread from the specials board. It was chunky, tasty and super filling.

Lovely little cafe, had plenty of choice to eat and drink. My boys had a crunchie chocolate slab and I had Victoria sponge, both went down very well.

Staff too busy to even acknowledge me, stared straight through me and carried on talking to another staff member. Clearly only there for the ferry traffic, left and went elsewhere.

Bad experience, very rude woman who served us at the counter which seems to be rubbing off on the other stressed members of staff. Rude, blunt and unfriendly - half of the stuff I'd tried to order was sold out (at 1.00pm?), the three vegetarian options and macaroni cheese. I'm normally very passive aggressive and would have just shrugged off it as a bad day but when the same woman was rude to my parents ordering their lunch I decided not to order any meals for ourselves and just get a coffee and tray bake - we'd eat somewhere else.
It's a shame, the food my parents had was not bad, the coffee and tea was nice and the traybake was nice - there's no need for the attitude, regardless of how busy or how stressed you are. I get you're prone to an entire ship emptying out into your cafe, but if you're not nice to your customers, they won't come back (or leave a bad review on here) We returned to Stromness for another couple of days and ate elsewhere.

Great location right on Stomness Harbour. Average coffee house but staff are very friendly and the food is good.

Burger was good, but over priced and the chips tasted like boogers and were undercooked. Sat for over 20 minutes just to have a waitress come over, and there were only another 2 tables in. Took another half hour to get our food. Waitress was lovely though. Would go back, but only as a last resort.

Very busy as a cruise ship was in port. Good food and great to sit outside and chat to other customers.

Only went for coffee and cake so can't comment on the full meals but the menu looked good and the other customers happy. My double shot latte was excellent and the staff provided my wife with a non dairy hot chocolate and a wheat free treat so we were both happy.

Fresh, delicious local food. The crab was so good and the fish pie was perfect. A lovely little place.

Just sat down without any help. The waitress just walked past several times. Finally we went.

A place where you can have a tea or a hot coffee directly on the harbor. Good choice of drinks and very quiet and reserved place. Recommended for a little relaxation

Delicious food and friendly service. We ate here twice, once for lunch and once for breakfast. The coffee is excellent as were the breakfast rolls, macaroni and cheese, and fish and chips. Definitely recommend!

Sunday afternoon and nowhere else serving food so settled on Julia's, so glad we did! The food was so fresh and tasty and the portions huge! Definitely worth a visit.

Disappointed, I could have got my fish and chips from the Co op next door and microwave it myself at home. Happened to be at the port literally you guys went far below my expectations for cooking fish. My worst lunch in years,wish I had an option to leave no stars under my review!
