While the care is excellent, the billing practice ...

While the care is excellent, the billing practice leaves much to be desired. I had two separate visits to the ER in 2014 and presented the staff with BOTH of my insurance cards. At the time, I had dual coverage..BCBS and AHCCCS. Thought all was well until I received a bill for services rendered, they had failed to bill the other carrier. I called the billing department and told them of the other insurance and faxed a copy of my card. Again..thought all was well. A month or so later, another bill. They STILL had not billed AHCCCS. This time, I mailed the bill back along with a copy of the AHCCCS card and in nice bold letters, a notation to bill the other carrier. Fast forward to now, they have placed the account in collections...still never having billed the other insurance. I am getting calls from "Caledonia" collections agency. I once again called and was basically told by their rep to pound sand, they were not going to do jack about THEIR screw up. My only recourse at this point is to report them to the proper authorities for improper billing practices. UPDATE!!! UPDATE!!! Just got a call from the Attorney General's office, with whom I filed a formal consumer complaint. Apparently, Mountain Vista Medical Center has not seen fit to respond to the THREE registered mail letters sent to them from the AG's Office demanding a resolution or ANY type of response to the issue.
