I grew up at the Olympic. Returning to it 20 years...

I grew up at the Olympic. Returning to it 20 years later has been a nostalgic experience. It seems to me, in my limited perspective, that the number of people on the floor has grown since the mid 90's. I absolutely love that skating is still something people want to do. I don't love that the crowd is so large that it's dangerous to be on the floor. That being said, the music is a good mix of classic and current, the sound system is loud and has good bottom end, and the floor is in good shape. I do wish that the occupancy was limited to fewer people, and I wish that the rink oval were better defined so people would maintain their travel lanes instead of "cutting corners" and causing hazardous situations, but it's still a great social experience and a great opportunity to get some exercise. Thanks, Olympic, for being a cornerstone of my youth and still being here for me and for the youth of this generation.
