Natalie Hoffmann Review of Kurpfalzpark Wachenheim

We were there on Wednesday, August 5th, 2020 around 11 a.m., almost all 3 parking spaces were full and you stood across the parking lot to queue at the cash register. The admission took less than 30 minutes, however, less than we expected after the first look at the queue.
The park is really beautiful, in good condition and tidy.
It offers many varied attractions for the kids. Whether slides, summer toboggan run, pedal boats, clowns or puppet theater. But you have to queue for up to 1 hour everywhere because there were just too many people in the park.
The playground is absolutely beautiful and really offers something for the little ones.
BUT it is no longer a wildlife park at least at the moment. Because we didn't see any animals and you couldn't buy food either.
Here is the list:
- Bunnies
- Raccoons: nocturnal so not visible
- Valley of the fallow deer completely empty no animals to be seen, not even in the forest
- Birds of prey: There is no air show and neither are birds to be seen
- Wild boars
- Wolves: no feeding and the wolves were very far from the fence, the kids did not see them
- Lynx
- Valley of the black and white deer completely empty no animals to be seen, not even in the forest
-Water game: no ducks or swans, the pond was empty except for the koi
- Ibex enclosure completely empty no animals to be seen, not even in the forest
- Donkey
- Sheep and goat (not at the entrance) completely empty no animals to be seen, not even in the forest
- Deer enclosure completely empty no animals to be seen, not even in the forest
The fact is we walked ALL paths comfortably but saw absolutely no wildlife.
There is a lot on offer, but everything involves long waiting times and for 40 euros it was a very expensive walk with a visit to the playground.
