The hospital is clean and the patients are pretty much in a relaxed environment. But if you are a spouse and want to know what's going on with your loved it is very difficult to get information if the patient hasn't signed a release form. If your loved one is in there its probably an already stressful situation so they may not comprehend what they are signing. I had the experience of seeing very unqualified persons working in units that have no idea how to work with people with mental problems. I'm convinced the hospital is more concerned with your insurance than helping people.
