I needed to do business in the LA area and this is the hotel I chose. Unfortunately, my client wasn't ready, so after spending one night, I told the hotel I needed to check out early. They wanted to charge me $50 for checking out early.

Maybe this is common in southern California but it is rude and not common anywhere else. I have spent hundreds of nights in Hampton Inns and never was penalized for checking out early.

This is my second bad encounter with a Doubletree hotel. Something must be wrong with their management.
