Absolutely everything at the Homestead costs too much for quality. Beautiful landscape and buildings marred by dirty, outdated decor. Friendly staff everywhere, but they are clearly overwhelmed and poorly trained, and the resort is understaffed. Difficult parking, loading, and unloading for those with disabilities. Need more information on website regarding facility hours, charges, room amenities, and surrounding area attractions and amenities, especially lack of pharmacy on weekends and breakfast options after 10:30 a.m.

Reservation was incorrect and ended up in a first floor room that was stuffy, moldy, and mildewed. Staff changed room to two floors above and it was worlds better. First floor hallways (especially near pool and spa) are damp and smell terrible. Should not fill nearby rooms unless there is no other availability. Housekeeper did not take away dirty dishes or trash from room. No mini fridge makes it impossible to store leftovers or to keep water or medications cold. TV remote in both rooms were not responsive and guide was hard to navigate. Beds are somewhat uncomfortable and terry robes (when included) were scratchy. Would like a few padded hangers in closet for delicate clothes. Had to call someone to unlock safe. No one picks up phone when calling spa or front desk.

Terrible value for food and snacks. Sandwiches from Martha s Market were soggy and had olive pit I bit down on inside. Buffet items were mediocre, bland, lukewarm, and overpriced, but fresh waffles were delicious.

Nail salon was unstaffed, dirty, disorganized, and had poor ventilation. Nail techs were about 10 minutes late and there was nowhere to sit and wait. Kind but unprofessional staff. Hand scrub and massage were nice, but manicure itself was poor rushed, messy, and with no clean-up. Locker room, Aqua Thermal Suite, Serenity Garden, co-ed Relaxation Area, and other spa facilities were lovely with exception of scaffolding, caution tape, and strange office chairs in Serenity Garden area. Excellent couples massage with professional, courteous staff. Improperly charged for Serenity Garden when husband and I had two qualifying services that day.

Probably would not return. Would prefer to stay nearby and pay for activities and to use spa and other facilities.
