I don't know how they pass there ER procedure inspections.
I was recently diagnosed in April with Gallstones at the emergency ER in Weslaco. I was given medication for pain, the pain came to me so strong three months later at 2AM I went to Kapp Medical Center at 3AM because my meds weren't helping with pain. I wait 25 mins to be attended and have my vitals checked, I don't even get walked to my room by a nurse he just tells me go to room 5, all the people around had a lot going on. I waited another 15 mins to get blood drawn, I had a urine sample that didn't get picked up til 6AM that was ready right after I got my vitals checked at 3:20AM, the Dr. went in til 6:30AM and appeared to be shocked that I told him I haven't been given any medication I declined medication because by 6:30AM all the pain had already passed I didn't feel pain anymore.
I explained to the lady that made me sign papers that I wanted to know what my insurance is being charged for because I only got blood drawn and that was it and she said she couldn't tell me that she will send me a email of what the insurance is being charged she looked clueless. The nurse discharging me told me I was diagnosed with Gallstones and asked if I had a ultrasound done as if I did, and I told him they didn't diagnose me I told him I told the nurses I had Gallstones and I went for medication for pain and I wasn't given anything because I waited 3 1/2 HOURS. I will be calling my insurance and making all calls necessary to make sure this is reported. The doctor even said I didn't look like I was in too much pain for the nurses around, I was being as strong as I could for the pain cause I was alone!
