As a contractor you spend a lot of time and money if your seeking to work in the tri-state area. One thing you value is a agency that can keep you working consistently at the decent pay rate. Since my time and money are valuable you want a agency that understands those things, this is not that agency. This has all the hallmarks of a "resume mill" (an agency which wants you to come in and offers nothing but false leads in return). There are a bunch of these agencies in the NYC and they are all alike. Their job leads turns out to be sour or old and your back in square one, this has been my experience many times over. If this has not been your experience that's great unfortunately this is a common practice by recruiting and contracting firms in New York City. I have been professionally contracting for over several years so I speak from experience.
