Though I have never (and don't plan to become one)...

Though I have never (and don't plan to become one) been a patient at this hospital, I am an EMT of a busy 911 agency that frequently transports patients here. I can speak from personal experience that ER waiting times are excessive. At one point, we had transported a female with facial trauma needing stitches. We came back 4.5 hours to find her still waiting for treatment. I have also ran into several (I'd say 85%) nurses who are completely rude and utterly unprofessional. Will roll eyes, give you an attitude, etc. when asking for the slightest of favors and or information. I can say that Maternity and Pediatric beds/floors/areas have better, more professional and friendlier staff. If you can afford it, go to White Plains, friendlier staff, less waiting, better patient interaction. At the end of the day, a hospital is a hospital, and I'm sure (I hope) that ER staff/Docs will treat serious injuries with a better sense of urgency than what I've seen.
