I have been using Uber on a regular basis with no problem until yesterday. I wasn't feeling well and left work an hour early. I called for an Uber that never showed up. I waited 10 minutes and then was told the driver cancelled. Two minutes later the car that was supposed to pick me up drove right past me. I called for another car and exactly the same thing happened. The third time this happened I called the driver. I asked him where he was and he said he was sent to an address a mile away. Even though I made sure my pickup address was correct Uber sent all three drivers to the wrong address. At this point I am furious and frustrated. I asked the driver to please pick me up and he refused saying I was "too upset". After waiting 45 minutes I finally took the bus home. Later on I realized that my account has been charged for all three trips I didn't take. I have been given a 15.00 credit that I won't use but they took 25.00 out of my account. I have been emailing over and over and the only response I received was to say I was given a credit. The response also apologized for the drivers, but the drivers didn't do anything. This was a mistake on Uber's part and they are taking no responsibility. Stay away from Uber, they are rip offs.
I am updating this review on 5/29/18 to let everyone know that Uber asked me for my banking information to research what happened and I still have not received a refund. I called my bank yesterday and the woman I spoke to said this happened to her too. I can stop the payments through my bank but will wait until tomorrow to see if Uber is going to do the right thing. The bank lady's response was "That's not going to happen but it's nice of you to try". I wish i had researched Uber's customer service policies before I took my first ride.
