M.Lopez ID. 6139 was very unprofessional towards me. I went to get a Summary of Criminal Activity requested by my new employer. I have never been arrested, but I have been pulled over twice and received two citations which were shortly dismissed. To receive a Criminal Record solely from Santa Barbara County it is $10 if nothing shows up and $25 if you have a record. I have never been arrested or have been guilty of any traffic crimes. Why is a citation from Jan 2015 still on my record which was dismissed? When I asked for a complaint form, she had me ask for it 3 times (and one other time before I spoke with her) and she had the audacity to say "I don't live in your head" referring to when I had previously mentioned having no recollection of Jan 2015; I wasn't talking about the events of Jan 2015, I wanted a complaint form and she wanted to hear my complaint until the end of time. After asking her if she handled complaints (which she said no to) I once again asked her for a form and after handing it to me she said, "good luck with that" no one deserves to be treated like that. I am not a criminal but this piece of paper given to me by SBPD says I am. What good is this piece of paper if it is putting me at a disadvantage in life. How am I suppose to not feel like the Santa Barbara Police Department has affected my job opportunities by retaining and displaying inaccurate information about my criminal history. I want social justice. $25 for an inaccurate background check and less job opportunities. I feel scammed by people who are supposed to protect and serve. This is not my complaint letter.
