Grew up in Lubbock ('97-'09) but didn't actually step foot into J&B until last week. The first thing you need to know is that you have a high chance of running into someone you know here, because it's quite popular.
I really enjoyed the ambience. It's a great place to study, catch up with friends, go on a casual date. Hipster vibes that that's all coffee shops right? They have a lot of different types of seating areas. They have a very cute and creative menu that feels really easter-eggy to a Lubbock local.
My friend got the hot chocolate and I got their chai latte. The chai is pretty decent for Lubbock. Hot chocolate was solid. Staff is friendly and nice.
I would definitely come back again. J&B is one of those classic Lubbock local establishments. Come check it out if you like supporting small businesses.
