Absolutely lovely place to stroll around for hours or have a picnic. It's massive, with some nice lakes and cultural sights as well. Pro tip: if you visit Hampstead Heath, wear boots with excellent traction that you don't mind getting muddy. The paths here are virtually all dirt, and if there's been rain recently they become slick, muddy pits. My only trip to Hampstead Heath was done in trainers and I was slipping and sliding the entire time I was there.
