Received a NIXON Mission ($400) as a gift from my brother and surf compadre before he moved home to Italy.
Such a great guy and such an amazing gift...he knew I had been eyeing it for a while and was hoping to level up from my Vestal Brig, my surf surf watch.
In less than 1 year, The Mission watch was dead and wouldn t charge...
But it was under warranty...so boom, I m good right?!
WRONG.
1) Apparently, Nixon does not stock the parts to fix the watch.
2) NIXON has no intention of ever stocking the parts to fix the watch.
3) NIXON no longer offers the watch.
4) Yet dealers/surf shops still carry and sell the watch even though NIXON knows they cannot fulfill the repair or replacement clause of their warranty...

shady much?

Instead, they default to another clause!....

I can have any bag or watch up to the $400 price point of the watch.

Let s me be clear.

1) I ONLY wear watches for tides. (I ve hated wearing a watch my entire life)
2) I have a tide watch in my Vestal that has an infinitely better display from anything NIXON is carrying at the moment... and I wear that in the water.
3) The Mission was my surf/dress watch... that I could wear in the water.
4) I have absolutely ZERO interest in a NIXON bag.

One of my favorite students works for NIXON and I can t say a bad thing about any person I ve dealt with, however, I would never purchase another watch from them... this is shady.

Errrr hold that thought!
Just got off the phone with Erin... customer service lead and queen of condescension.
You gotta love these passive aggressive Californians

Don t do customer service there princess if it s not in your personality to actually be nice, helpful and empathetic.

Fake people suck.

They took my watch and I m essentially out $400.

Cool NIXON
